Easter: The Glorious Gospel

From 1 Timothy 1:8-17

1. The Gospel fills a need common to all men (8-11)
   1. The Law of God is good.
   2. The Law leaves us all empty.
   3. Good News: God restores us.
2. The Gospel challenges our unbelief (12-14)
   1. Our lives are characterized by atheism
   2. Grace and mercy confront this ignorance
   3. Good News: Jesus loves us!
3. The Gospel is trustworthy (15-16)
   1. Jesus Christ came to save sinners!
   2. Your sin is not too much.
   3. Good News: Your salvation shows God’s power to others.
4. The Gospel is about God’s glory (17)
