I’m so excited to be a part of what God is doing in Fairburn and FBC Fairburn is strategically located right at the heart of it. New people tell me all the time what a “friendly church” we are and how welcome they feel when they experience FBC Fairburn. My hope is that we can advance beyond friendship and consider one another as family.
I began serving as Pastor of Music and Missions at FBC Fairburn in 2013. I’m responsible for each aspect of our worship services, from the creative to the technical. Fortunately I have a wonderful team of volunteers surrounding me that make my job much easier and more productive. My desire is to see God’s people not only gather for worship on Sundays but to be “on mission” seven days a week.
A native of Florida, I have a Music Ministry degree from the Baptist College of Florida and graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters in Christian Education. I’m married to an incredible lady named Angie. She’s a preschool teacher with a degree from the University of Central Florida and very active in our worship ministry. She also teaches Sunday School and English as a Second Language. Together we have four grown children, two of which are married: Adam (Becky), Ashley (Jared), Zach, and Zoey.
When I’m not hanging out with the family, I’m probably listening to music or talk radio. In the evenings Angie and I watch a lot of movies and British TV shows. I also enjoy photography and love drinking English tea which I manage to combine on annual mission trips to the UK. Prior to moving to Georgia, we served four years as full-time missionaries in inner-city London. Planning mission trips, hosting church trivia nights, and singing with the Sons of Jubal – a statewide evangelistic 350-plus member male chorus – are also some of my favorite pastimes.
Feel free to contact me by email or social media if you desire to learn more about our worship ministry or our mission endeavors at home and abroad.
